NSA Club #494 – Columbus, OH is an officially sanctioned chapter of
the National SCRABBLE® Association (NSA). Club members meet weekly to
play SCRABBLE® Brand Crossword Game, discuss strategy, and practice
for tournaments.
Attendance varies from approximately six to twelve players each week
at various skills levels from novice to expert. Lessons are available
to new players to help them increase their skills or prepare for a
tournament.
Membership is open to all SCRABBLE® enthusiasts. Currently there is no
charge for club membership.
Club #494 also runs three or four tournaments each year. Prices vary
depending on the format, prize structure, and number of rounds. Cash
prizes are awarded. Events are scheduled for March and June 2004.
Members are encouraged to join the NSA, the official organization of
North America’s SCRABBLE® players. NSA memberships start at $18 per
year.
Tournament players are required to be members of the NSA to
participate in more than one tournament.
The mission of NSA Club #494 is to create a fun, positive environment
in which to play our favorite board game SCRABBLE®, improve our
skills, and promote club and tournament play in the Columbus, OH area.
